PARAGON
“a model of excellence”
Paragon Fence & Outdoor was created with a clear purpose: to set a higher standard for residential fences and outdoor living in the greater Austin, TX area.
Paragon’s founder, Jefferson Cloward, grew up around fence construction, learning the trade from the ground up long before running jobs or managing crews. As a teenager, he worked hands-on in his family’s fence business, cleaning the construction yard and working the forklift. Later, he began setting posts, cutting rails, and hanging gates.
In 2012, he co-founded Austin Brothers Fence Company. He started out installing fences, but as the business grew into a high-volume fencing operation, Jefferson’s role as co-owner expanded, overseeing crews and delivering hundreds of projects each year.
Jefferson’s focus was always on execution, making sure posts were set right, lines stayed straight, gates worked properly, and jobs finished the way they should. He gained experience across every part of the process; installation, fabrication, design, estimating, and project oversight. That experience shaped how he approaches work today: practical, detail-oriented, and rooted in how things actually perform once they’re in the ground.
our story
our founder
jefferson cloward, owner
In 2025, Jefferson left Austin Brothers and established Paragon Fence & Outdoor with a broader vision than fencing alone. While fences and gates are a core part of what we do, our goal is to help homeowners think about their outdoor space as a whole; how everything works together and how it’s used day to day.
Paragon is founded on the belief that even the most straightforward projects deserve thoughtful design, skillful construction, and materials chosen for how they perform over time, not just how they look on install day.
By combining solid construction with thoughtful planning, we aim to create outdoor environments that are intentional, functional, and enjoyable for years to come, setting a higher standard for outdoor living across Austin, TX.
our vision
“We aim for every Paragon project to reflect our craft, commitment to strength, and the principles we’re grounded in.”
We put as much thought into our logo as we do with every project we build. It wasn’t designed to just be functional. It was designed to mean something.
Steel represents strength and the materials we rely on to build structures that do their job year after year. Concrete speaks to integrity, the foundation that everything depends on, like ethical business and proper footings. And at the center is wood, representing our craft: the experience and hands-on skill that go into every project.
It all comes together in a triangle—the strongest geometric shape— forming a paragon: a model to measure against. That’s our standard. Thoughtful design, solid foundations, and work that reflects pride in how it’s built, not just how it looks.
our crew
Paragon crews are made up of hardworking and skilled craftsmen who we’ve spent years working alongside. While some fence companies cut costs by cutting labor pay, we frankly don’t feel good about that. We compensate the crews we work with well so they can focus on quality, consistency, and craft. The result is work you can see, feel, and rely on long after installation day.

a clearer picture before install
From clear pricing to thoughtful planning, we’ll walk you through the process before anything is built. You’ll receive an accurate estimate based on what you’re looking for, followed by an on-site visit to confirm details and lock everything in. From there, we’ll create a detailed design plan. For more complex projects, we’ll use a combination of images, digital sketches, and editing software to create a 3D rendering to help you visualize the layout, materials, and overall feel of your fence or outdoor project. We’ll send a video to recap everything before we get started with the install.
